I'm Honoka Taki, an illustrator based in Japan. I create playful story illustrations for children, aiming for a mix of tenderness, humor, and whimsical fun.

 

My art education was in Visual Communication Design at Kyoto University of the Arts. My graduation project, a picture book, was well-received by my university and it sparked my passion for creating stories for young readers. After university, I worked in video editing at a design company.

 

As a child, I loved making my family and friends laugh, inspired by comedy shows. My love for little humor still appears in my work, especially in my characters' expressions and the details of my illustrations.
